- Tipster Steve Hemmerstoffer has leaked renders of the alleged OnePlus Nord N10 successor.
- The phone is seemingly an iterative update with a slightly different design.
- It’s reportedly codenamed “Ebba.”
In 2020, OnePlus plunged into the affordable phone market with the Nord N10 and N100. It was uncharacteristic of OnePlus to make inexpensive phones, but the company did it nevertheless, and its bet reportedly paid off. Now, it seems that OnePlus is readying a successor to at least one of those budget-friendly Nord phones.
Frequent tipster Steve Hemmerstoffer, aka OnLeaks, has leaked renders and some specs of an alleged follow-up phone to the OnePlus Nord N10. The device is apparently codenamed “Ebba” and looks a lot like its predecessor.
Hemmerstoffer reveals that Ebba’s height and weight have been slightly reduced, but its overall dimensions are roughly the same as the Nord N10. The body of the phone is said to be designed around a metal frame and a glossy plastic back panel.
Ebba’s leaked specs include a 6.49-inch flat display with a single punch-hole on the top left corner. The screen has thin bezels on three sides and a slightly thicker chin, just like the N10.
Elsewhere, the new phone seemingly changes the fingerprint sensor’s location from the back to the side. Hemmerstoffer claims that the sensor will be embedded within the power button.
Fortunately, the phone still looks to retain the 3.5mm headphone jack.
There’s no word on the processor, cameras, battery life, or price. However, we do hope that the phone gets a much-needed performance upgrade. We expressed some serious reservations about the Nord N10 in our review, and its single system update was one of our main concerns. We’d like to see OnePlus address some of those issues this time around.
