Leaked Screenshots of OnePlus 9 Offer A Glimpse Into New Camera UI and Other Key Specifications

The OnePlus 9 series will reportedly be launched this month. If rumors are to be believed, the smartphone will be made available in three different models. Along with the OnePlus 9 and the OnePlus 9 Pro, there will be another model the details of which, including its name, have not been unconfirmed.

There have, of course, been speculations and the device has been referred to with different names like OnePlus 9E, OnePlus 9 Lite, and OnePlus 9R. Though not much was known about the OnePlus 9 series, a fresh leak has offered a glimpse into the OnePlus 9 Pro’s specifications.

OnePlus refrained from launching an OnePlus 8T Pro in 2020, so one expects the OnePlus 9 Pro to arrive with a lot of modifications, structural changes, and surprises for the consumers. In the past, one had come across reports which suggested the kind of changes one could expect in the upcoming smartphone. Now, based on the leak, one can confirm a few of the unconfirmed reports that came our way.

This leak has come from Techmaniacs.gr, a Greek publication. The portal has put out screenshots that show you a glimpse of the About Phone section. A lot of information is also present on the camera app which can also be seen in the screenshots.

If you have a good look at the first image, you will realize that the OnePlus 9 Pro will feature an AMOLED display screen that would be 6.7 inches wide and offer a refresh rate of 120Hz. The phone will be powered by a Snapdragon 888 processor and have 8GB RAM along with 128GB of internal storage. Expanding the memory with an external device is not possible with this device. If you are particular about owning a phone that gives you the scope to expand its memory, you might want to go for one of the other devices launched by OnePlus in its Nord lineup.

As per the image, the smartphone will feature as many as four rear cameras a 48MP, 50MP, 8MP, and 2MP. The specification of the camera at the front end is not revealed in the screenshot but the leaked image makes it clear that it will definitely feature a single front-facing camera. It has also come to the light that the device will run Android 11 out of the box.

The rest of the two pictures exemplify the fact that the camera app boasts of a new design. On the current models, you have to go to the bottom to access the setting menu. In this model, the setting menu is positioned at the top. The restyled setting menu will enable users to switch quickly between aspect ratios, frame rates, and resolutions.

The screenshots also reveal the fact that the OnePlus 9 Pro provides you the facility to record 4K videos at 30 frames per second. 4K video recording can be done at 120 frames per second. More details about the phone are expected to come to the forefront in the following days leading to its launch.
