The Brooklyn Nets have dominated the media with their recent signings of LaMarcus Aldridge and Blake Griffin, creating a super team in their push for a championship. However, the team has been without Kevin Durant for quite some time, and James Harden recently suffered a hamstring injury as well.
However, according to Stadium, Harden is considered day-to-day and could return shortly. As for Kevin Durant, the Nets are hopeful that Durant will be back soon after missing roughly five weeks. However, it sounds like an actual timeline for Durant’s return will come next week.
“Sources tell me Kevin Durant is closing in on a return to the floor.”

The Nets already own first place in the Eastern Conference with an impressive 33-15 record. They’ve been able to maintain dominance in Durant’s absence, sitting at the top of the Conference for most of this season. Durant and Harden coming back into the rotation for Brooklyn give this team the potential to separate themselves from the rest of the teams in the East.
When on the court, Harden and Durant are unstoppable. This year, James Harden’s stats have reflected averages of 25.9 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 11.1 assists. Meanwhile, Durant has averaged 29 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 5.3 assists in the 19 games he’s played this year.
That is 54.9 points between the two, which will provide a massive boost to the Nets offense. Not to mention they still have Kyrie Irving as well, who is having one of the best years of his career right now.
The rest of the league better be ready, because come playoff time, the Brooklyn Nets aim to dominate the postseason with their star power. Catch Brooklyn’s next game on Thursday, as they take on the Charlotte Hornets.
